My Story

Before joining TKS, I knew I had the potential to do more, but I didn't know how. I was the only girl in my school's robotics team and I knew nothing about emerging technologies. When I first joined TKS, I was exposed to artificial intelligence and that got me hooked! Since then, I've developed projects in AI, blockchain, virtual reality and brain-machine interfaces, I've had the opportunity to work with amazing companies including Microsoft, Google, and CIBC, and have been speaking at conferences globally in places like Dubai, Montreal, San Francisco, and Toronto.

How has TKS impacted me?

TKS has literally changed my life. Before TKS, I never knew that I had the potential and the capabilities to create a huge impact on the world. Through TKS, I was able to learn so many real-life skills such as networking, creating presentations, building one-pagers and slide decks, and have been able to get so many amazing opportunities to work with some of the top companies in the world and speak at huge conferences. TKS has completely changed the trajectory of my life.

How is TKS different from other programs?

In my opinion, TKS can't even be compared to other programs. TKS is an extremely unique experience that has become a way of life for me. TKS has taught me a lot about understanding myself and how the world works, and has provided me with a huge head start on life. In the 15 years of my life, I have never grown so fast as a person, and I am still continuing to grow so much because of the value I get from the program!

Advice I would have given to myself before I joined TKS:

Before I joined TKS, I wasn't thinking big enough. I didn't really think about life and how I wanted to make an impact on the world. I didn't have direction. If I could go back in time, I would have told myself to think about where I want to be in 10 years, then develop the knowledge and skills I need to get there. I would have told myself that if I was doing the same thing as everyone else, I would just be like everyone else, so I should do something different.
Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people."
