My Story

I was always super curious about everything around me and constantly asked questions to find out the “why” in things. From 13, I was really passionate about technologies and always wanted to see how I could step foot in it and use them to solve problems I saw around me. After joining TKS, I’ve gotten to build and develop in areas like IoT, Artificial Intelligence for Generative Design & Brain Computer Interfaces to create solutions to meaningful problems in healthcare and the sciences. I am currently working on a startup developing an assistive device for the visually impaired, have had the opportunity to speak at conferences around the world, am super grateful to be recognized as one of the Top 20 Under 20 Teen Entrepreneurs Globally, and have been supported by some incredible companies like Google, Microsoft, TD, & Arrow Electronics along my journey!

How has TKS impacted me?

Our whole lives, our view of the world and what we as teenagers thought we could do has been so limited. TKS has showed me my potential and is constantly helping me grow and progress to help me reach it. Before TKS, I always thought that to have an impact on the world, you usually ended up becoming a doctor or lawyer. But instead, I’ve been exposed to so many exponential technologies like IoT, AI, and Brain Computer Interfaces that can help us not just impact thousands of people, but even billions if you set your mind to it and put in the work. I’ve gotten to develop mental models for myself, learn about philosophies, build things in fields I never even thought I could step foot in before, and broaden my view of the world. TKS has changed my whole life and what I thought I could do.

How is TKS different from other programs?

TKS is nothing like anything I’ve ever done before, and it definitely isn’t just a program - it’s so much more than that. It’s a human accelerator that helps students grow in all aspects of their lives, while also enabling us to achieve our full potential and solve incredibly meaningful problems in the world using emerging technologies. From building relationships with all of the driven students around us, getting exposed to really exciting technologies in development today and actually getting to build things in those fields, to helping us develop a 100x mindset, it’s providing us with the ingredients for not just success, but happiness and fulfillment and life. It’s a second home with an amazing family and it has literally changed my life.

Advice I would have given to myself before I joined TKS:

Age should never be a limiting factor when it comes to driving change in the world. It is so important to start early and focus on continuous learning. What is important is passion & willingness to put in the effort, learn, fail, and learn from failures. What is expected of us from society pales in comparison to what we can actually do. Always be actively curious and think big - the sky is not the limit; it’s really just the beginning! Question what you know and always look for the ‘why’ in everything! You have the power to drive meaningful change in the world, but in order to do that, you need to start thinking differently and take action!
