TKS is a human accelerator that develops young people to solve the world's most important problems. The mission for the Growth Marketing role is to increase the number of high quality applications and develop expansion strategies.

Here are some of the things you'd be doing in this role:
Generate high quality student applications, focusing on Toronto and Waterloo.
Growing TKS in other cities by assisting in recruiting and hiring, specifically identifying potential City Directors.
Run experiments to create awareness and engage the community.
Increase awareness of TKS to schools, parents, students, organizations, government, and media.
Build and manage external relationships with schools, organizations, government, and media.
Develop the TKS partner ecosystem, including companies like Google, Microsoft, RBC, as well as startups and government.
Plan, manage, and host external TKS events for non-TKS students to develop brand awareness and excitement; targeting students, parents, and teachers.
Manage all external communication, including Monthly Alumni Newsletter, Monthly Community Newsletter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter. We currently have someone focused solely on social media you would manage.
Write engaging communication for newsletters and social media.
Manage the TKS Blog and source content from TKS students.
Grow email list and social media followers.
How we measure success in this role:
Assist in expanding TKS to 2+ cities in 2019.
Create a playbook on growth for expanding to new cities.
Increase email list size by 500%.
Maintain newsletter open rate of 60%+.
Establish awareness of TKS in 70%+ of schools in the GTA, Waterloo, Guelph, and London.
Increase high-quality applications by 100%.
Grow social media following by 300%.

These are the qualities and skills needed to be successful in this role:
2+ years of marketing experience and has used tools like Hubspot.
An expert understanding of paid marketing channels, including Google AdWords and paid social (Facebook, LinkedIn).
Has design experience and can use tools like Photoshop and Illustrator.
Clear and casual written skills (see example).
Ability to structure well-written emails.
Data-first approach to drive decision making.
Committed to resourcefulness in times of uncertainty; creatively “figuring it out” and finding new ways to produce results.
Hungry to learn & self-motivated.
Clear verbal communication.
Quick to respond to emails.
