Your Mission

TKS is a human accelerator that develops young people to solve the world's most important problems. The mission for the Community Engagement role is to develop a strong community within the TKS ecosystem by fostering meaningful relationships, planning events, and managing student opportunities.

You should expect to learn a great deal in this role, with a strong focus on your personal and professional development. You will gain deep knowledge in every significant emerging technology and science and develop a strong skill set in communication and problem solving. The students you develop relationships with at TKS will go on to solve important problems in the world, like curing cancer or building flying autonomous vehicles. You will make an impact and change the lives of ambitious young people in this role... and you'll love every second of it.


Here are some of the things you'd be doing in this role:

  • Create unique opportunities for TKS students to gain exposure, including: conferences/events, workshops, speaking opportunities, media interviews, podcasts, and guest blog posts.

  • Coordinate TKS students that attend external events and conferences, which includes parent communication and logistics.

  • Manage special engagement opportunities for TKS students, including speaking, podcasts, media, blog posts, etc.

  • Plan, manage, and host TKS events, including the TKSummit, TKShowcase, Speaker Series, and Alumni Events.

  • Manage parent and teacher information sessions.

  • Oversee summer internship opportunities for TKS students with our startup partners.

  • Coordinate students interviews, acceptances, and rejections.

  • Communicate with students, parents, and partners for various events.

  • Engaging with content creation partners for events (videographers and photographers).

  • Collecting feedback from TKS sessions.
